Lexington Montessori School is looking for an assistant teacher for our toddler program. From 21 months to three years old, children develop some of their first relationships outside the home. In this nurturing environment, toddlers learn to trust adults and independently to carry out many everyday tasks. LMS boasts a collegial faculty with a commitment to diversity and Montessori philosophy and pedagogy. Applicants should have experience with young children. Experience and/or understanding of Montessori philosophy and Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

This is a dual position and tied to the before and after school care program. Schedule is five days a week from 10:30 to 5:00. In after-school, children have fun indoors and outdoors at the end of their school day, all of this framed by the same Montessori philosophy they follow during the rest of their day. The teacher guides children's independence and choice, provides a safe, caring environment and creates/shares activities.
