Description
Key Responsibilities:
•Leadership: Provide strategic direction aligning with Montessori principles & the school’s mission
•Academics: Oversee curriculum & classroom practices
•Staff: Recruit/mentor/evaluate educators/staff, fostering a culture of continuous growth & collaboration
•Students: Promote a child-centered approach that supports academic & social/emotional growth
•Community: Build relationships with families, act as a liaison between the school and community & encourage family involvement
•Operations: Manage operations/financials/ budgeting/compliance with licensing & accreditation
•School Growth: Develop & implement strategies to maintain enrollment/retention rates
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Montessori Early Childhood Certification (AMS preferred) with a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and methodology.
• MA EEC Director II Credential.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a Montessori school.
• Strong administrative, financial management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to inspire and lead a team with empathy, vision, and strategic thinking.
• Commitment to fostering a collaborative culture.
