Description

Wellan Montessori School is seeking an experienced Lower Elementary Teacher (ages 6-9) for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full time position beginning August 27, 2026. The Lower Elementary teacher oversees all aspects of classroom operation, including planning/implementing curriculum and communicating regularly with families, while working with co-teachers and Assistant Teachers to ensure classroom standards are met consistently. The Lower Elementary Teacher must excel at preparing the classroom environment, taking responsibility for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for students.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or beyond in related field. Montessori certification for ages 6-9 or in training / willingness to undertake training. Massachusetts Educator License for Grades 1-3. Experience working in a Montessori classroom.
