Description

Andover School of Montessori seeks a Lower Elementary Assistant for 2026–2027. Join a collaborative, child-centered environment fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. Work with a lead teacher in a mixed-age (grades 1–3) Montessori classroom, supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally through hands-on, project-based learning. Candidates should be passionate, warm, patient, flexible, and responsive to diverse learners. Responsibilities include classroom management, preparing materials, supporting small groups/individuals, supervising students, and assisting with lessons and activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree required -Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred -Montessori experience or certification is a plus (but not required) -Background in language literacy instruction is highly valued -Wilson Fundations Certification is a plus
