Description

Inly School seeks a Nature Studies Educator beginning in August 2026. This educator partners with classroom teachers to extend the Montessori science and cultural curriculum through experiential, nature-based learning opportunities for Toddler through Lower Elementary students. Utilizing gardens, greenhouse spaces, trails, and outdoor classrooms as extensions of the learning environment, the role supports hands-on exploration, environmental stewardship, curiosity, and observation skills. This position complements — rather than replaces — classroom science instruction through outdoor, child-centered learning experiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Environmental Education, Environmental Science, Ecology, Child Development, Sustainability, or a related field required; Master’s Degree or comparable professional experience preferred. Minimum three years of experience working with children in educational or experiential learning settings. Strong collaboration skills and enthusiasm for contributing to a progressive school community. Understanding of Montessori philosophy and interest in innovative, child-centered education practices; Montessori training available for qualified candidates.
