Description

Sunshine Montessori in Billerica, MA is seeking a dedicated and passionate preschool Assistant Teacher for the Summer program- July - August. This position can be converted to a full school year position for the right candidate. Responsibilities: - Assist Lead teachers in the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum - Provide support to Lead teachers in behavior management and create a positive learning environment - Collaborate with lead teachers to plan and execute daily activities

Qualifications

Montessori training is NOT required but is a plus Candidates must be EEC licensed OR have the necessary classes and experience to be qualified. At least one year of professional experience working with young children in the above age group in a Montessori setting Appropriate classroom and behavior management skills First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to get within 6 months of employment) EEC Essentials Training (may complete online before start date) Interest and/or experience in Montessori education Ability to complete Background Record Check and EEC requirements

Benefits

We follow the Billerica Public School calendar closings for holidays, school vacation weeks and snow days. CPR and First Aid training- paid by the school.
