Description

Create a nurturing, respectful, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment. Engage with children throughout daily routines and fostering their independence, curiosity, and love of learning. Help maintain a carefully prepared classroom, observes each child's individual growth and needs, and supports self-care routines—including hygiene and toileting—in a way that honors each child's readiness and comfort. Reinforce classroom expectations, supports individual and small-group learning, and helps maintain a calm, organized environment that ensures safety and reflects Montessori values.

Qualifications

Candidates must be 18+ with a high school diploma, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for children's development and Montessori education. A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Montessori classroom experience, and Montessori Assistant Training (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited) are preferred. Required certifications—Montessori Assistant Training, the Montessori Decalogue, EEC Essentials 2.0, CPR/First Aid, and state Health & Safety Training (e.g., Mandated Reporter, Safe Sleep)—may be completed upon hire.
