Description

Assists in creating a nurturing, responsive, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment for infants. Provides attentive one-on-one care, engaging with infants through age-appropriate activities, and supporting their emerging independence, sensory exploration, and natural curiosity. Maintains a safe, orderly, and thoughtfully prepared classroom, observes and responds to each child’s basic needs, and fosters trust, comfort, and security through caregiving routines such as diapering, feeding, and sleep. Reinforces a calm, predictable, and organized environment, supports individual and small-group interactions, and closely observes infants to understand their developmental progress.

Qualifications

Candidates must be 18+ with a high school diploma, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for children's development and Montessori education. A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Montessori classroom experience, and Montessori Assistant Training (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited) are preferred. Required certifications—Montessori Assistant Training, the Montessori Decalogue, EEC Essentials 2.0, CPR/First Aid, and state Health & Safety Training (e.g., Mandated Reporter, Safe Sleep)—may be completed upon hire.
